Skechers’ association with Israeli companies has sparked controversy among those supporting Palestine’s struggle against Israeli occupation. They view Skechers as part of the support system funding and justifying Israel’s atrocities against Palestinians.
One movement advocating the boycott of Skechers is the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement, a global initiative aimed at pressuring Israel to respect human rights and international law. BDS calls on people not to buy products originating from or supporting Israel, including Skechers.
BDS Indonesia released a list of pro-Israel products to boycott, categorizing 121 brands, including Skechers, as products actively involved in Israel’s apartheid crimes.
