jfid – An online movement calling itself Netizen Force Indonesia (NFI) has declared war against the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) through a special operation called Julid Fisabilillah.
The operation aims to weaken the morale of the Israeli soldiers by inundating their social media accounts with sharp, critical, and sarcastic comments.
Julid Fisabilillah is a term that emerged on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) since Tuesday (21/11/2023) and has become a trending topic.
The term is derived from the word “julid,” which means mockery or sharp comments, and “fi sabilillah,” which means in the path of Allah.
So, Julid Fisabilillah is an act of mockery in the path of Allah to defend Palestine from the cruelty of Israel.
Erlangga Greschinov, a social activist known as the commander of Netizen Force Indonesia, declared war against the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) through the special operation called Julid Fisabilillah.
The operation aims to flood the social media accounts of IDF and Israeli soldiers with mocking comments, ridicule, and insults.
“We are doing this to defend our brothers and sisters in Palestine who are continuously attacked by Israel. We want to show our solidarity and disrupt the morale of the enemy,” Erlangga said in an exclusive interview with Kompas.com.
Erlangga admitted to being inspired by cyberwarfare movements carried out by pro-Palestinian hackers, such as Anonymous and the Muslim Cyber Army.
However, he stated that Netizen Force Indonesia does not use illegal methods such as hacking or breaching Israeli websites.
NFI conducts the Julid Fisabilillah operation by attacking Israeli army Instagram accounts, as shared by Erlangga and other netizens.
They inundate these accounts with comments that demean, insult, and mock the Israeli soldiers.
Some examples of comments written by NFI include “Free Palestine,” “Child Killer,” “Terrorist,” “Go to Hell,” and others. NFI also reports Israeli army accounts to be blocked by Instagram.
“We only use the weapons we have, our fingers and our phones. We leverage the comment features on social media platforms like X (Twitter), Instagram, and Facebook to convey our messages to the IDF and the Israeli army,” he said.
Erlangga claimed that the Julid Fisabilillah operation has succeeded in overwhelming and stressing the IDF and Israeli soldiers.
He presented evidence that the official IDF Instagram account has restricted comments to prevent them from being filled by Indonesian netizens.
“We see this as a victory for us. We managed to make them feel uncomfortable and insecure. We also succeeded in spreading information and awareness about the cruelty of Israel to netizens worldwide,” he said.
Erlangga added that the Julid Fisabilillah operation will continue until Israel stops its aggression against Palestine.
He also invited other Indonesian netizens to join Netizen Force Indonesia and participate in this operation.
“We are a people’s army fighting in a people’s way. We are not afraid of threats or punishment from Israel. We believe that Allah is with us, and we will win,” he concluded.
