Glock, an engineer and entrepreneur from Austria, founded the Glock company and developed the Glock pistol in 1982.

This pistol became one of the most influential and popular firearms of the 20th century.

The Glock pistol is a series of semi-automatic pistols with a polymer frame, designed and produced by Glock GmbH, an Austrian company.

This weapon began being used by the Austrian military and police in 1982 after excelling in reliability and safety tests.

Glock offers more than 50 types of pistols in various sizes, calibers, and styles.

Each Glock pistol is designed and made to meet the customers’ needs.

Gaston Glock began his career as a curtain manufacturer in the 1960s and produced knives for the Austrian military in the 1970s.

He didn’t design or produce firearms until he was 52 years old.

He had prior experience with polymers from his previous business endeavors.

In 1980, he purchased an injection molding machine to produce handles and sheaths for field knives he made for the Austrian army in his workshop garage.

His early employees came from the camera industry and had experience in producing polymer components.

The first pistol he produced was the Glock 17.

It took a year to design and manufacture, and he filed for an Austrian patent in April 1981.
