The rapid development of online media has become an essential part of accessing information for the wider community. Faktual.id Journal is not here to take an alternative position in the eleventh hour of the online media explosion.
Faktual.id Journal is an expansion of print media in the form of magazines and tabloids into online media. Recorded in a long history, formerly known as “Factual Magazine,” it was established in 2004 (In Verified Status by the Press Council). Founded by a senior journalist (the late Madraei Hariady).
Eleven years later, precisely in 2015, Faktual Journal com was established. And the dynamics of Faktual Journal media continue to evolve. Four years later, on June 18, 2019, H. Misniyati Hariningsi, as the Company Leader along with Deni Puja Pranata as the Editor-in-Chief of Faktual Magazine and Faktual.com Journal, made a decision to reprofile. Faktual.com Journal was decided to be changed to Faktual.id Journal, by collaborating with a journalist, blogger, and IT expert, Rasyiqi.
The change from Faktual.com Journal to Faktual.id Journal is not solely based on the choice of domain. But the choice of Indonesian identity becomes one of the main references for the editorial team.
We are present amidst the scattered news and we do not position ourselves purely as news media. Faktual Journal is news and opinion media. Yes, we don’t entirely report, but we write opinions, based on our perspective, or our writers.
You can take it as entirely opinion in your understanding, because there is no such thing as pure news without distortion in the newsroom. Always and as usual, there is framing, clickbait, dramatization, reduction, interpretation, and so on, and at the same time, we are not ready to deliver facts originally without the things we mentioned earlier directing your subconscious mind to certain assumptions.
That’s why Faktual Journal is a news opinion media. We have information, and we deliver it through a perspective. We never remain impartial, honestly, we have our own tendencies. We admit, we have our own way of storytelling, and always in the news contains our opinions.
However, Faktual.id Journal is not the womb of hoaxes, we always verify, and the media is open for your criticism, if there is misinformation because we are open to discussing with the public. We know that out there are more media where you can get information (although most are just recycling).
Faktual.id Journal is here to present factual and balanced content and still adhere to the old tradition that risks everything to counteract hoax news. Faktual.id Journal comes with the courage to express a variety of opinion news. Just like your friend thinking and analyzing something.
